Multiplier event in Norway

This multiplier event was held by Odda vgs in Odda, Norway.

This event focused on sharing good practice, have a discussion with colleagues from various organisations on STEM clubs. Main topics were related to gaming and e-sport and how this support STEM skills development. Associated partners “Active Gamers” helped in organising this event and present their view on importance of skill development. 

There were reviewed these topics as well:

· STEMclubs project results

· The use of gaming in teaching at the school

· Positive effects of gaming and e-sports

· Negative effects

· Toxic behavior in gaming

· Money games creep into computer games

· Stigma around gaming

· Establishment of gaming rooms and the process around this theme

· Lecture by professional e-sporter

· Lecture by a school that has created e-sports as an educational course

The event had 11 high profile representatives of local, regional and national stakeholders such with different background: schools, VET schools, managing authority in Odda, etc. In addition, 6 Odda vgs teachers and students attended the programme to learn and showcase the results.

During follow up online event there were more than 10 participants.
